From today until July 31, the winter holidays in the City are fully lived with more than 650 activities scheduled for all tastes, with free and free tickets or affordable prices. The Buenos Aires Government announced a program so that residents and tourists can enjoy a wide range of cultural and tourist attractions especially designed for all ages.

During these two weeks there are no excuses. The squares, theaters, cultural centers, movie theaters, museums, libraries and streets of the City will become the stage for plays, concerts, workshops, musicals and all kinds of educational proposals, by the Culture Ministry. Likewise, the online platform Vivamos Cultura will provide cycles and digital content so that they can be seen from anywhere in the country.

In addition, you can take care of your pocket. The City Tourism Entity will offer discounts for more than 150 activities: guided tours, gastronomic proposals, theme parks, shopping malls, ice rinks, recreational spaces, theaters, cinemas, artistic shows for all ages and cultural activities.

Among the 650 proposals, the following stand out:

-The LIT! Youth Literature Festivalgenerates a meeting space for young people under the motto “reading as an experience”. It will offer interviews with authors, interactive activities, workshops, music shows and workshops. Its opening will be in the downtown area and it will have an extensive program in the Parque de la Estación Library.

-The Cornelio Saavedra Historical Museuma offers guided tours and musical activities, performances and shows.

-In the art factory provides cycles with musical and theatrical proposalsgames, recreational, urban and sports activities, workshops and exhibitions for all ages.

-On weekends in July, the “Soltate” program will also be available, in which children can learn to ride a bike.

-The center Cultural Recoleta proposes workshops, exhibitions and a clown show. From Tuesday to Sunday there will be recitals, plays, movies, drawing marathons and silent party for the little ones. The terrace will be the meeting point for teenagers with karaoketalks, recitals, creative writing, rap culture tournaments with artists and references such as Agus Cabaleiro, the booktuber Matias GB, Majo Chicar and Guacho Bleu, among others.

-In the Colon Theater, A wide variety of activities and functions will take place. The Star Wars soundtrack, composed by Oscar winner John Williams, will be performed by the Association of Teachers of the Stable Orchestra of the theater while the film is projected. Star Wars: The Empire Strikes Back in concert. In addition, there will be different visits and guided tours for the whole family at the Colón Fábrica.

-The Supply Party Winter, it will be held the last weekend of July on the steps of the shopping mall and will have free programming for both adults and children.

-The rooms of Buenos Aires Theater Complex It will have a special program and activities for all ages from Tuesday to Sunday with plays, music, puppets, circus, workshops, guided tours and many other activities free of charge.

Art in Neighborhoodsthe program that brings a cultural offer to the residents of vulnerable neighborhoods will offer different activities such as art workshops, puppets, magic, musical shows by artists such as Agua Fiestas Rock, Rayos y Centellas, Cien Volando and Los Rockan.

-The Slaughterhouse Fairwith its handicraft walk and gastronomic patio, it will offer a special program for children with artists committed to the Argentine folk and traditional culture.

-The Museum of Modern Art of Buenos Aires organized around 20 different workshops to learn about artistic techniquesfrom the hand of artists, musicians and educators. It will also have activities adapted for people with intellectual, motor and visual disabilities.

Seven Public Libraries of the City offer workshops, children’s shows and screening of films dedicated to children: Parque de la Estación, Casa de la Lectura, Benito Lynch, Centenera, Miguel Cané, Banchs and Devoto.

-The Culture in Neighborhoods Program will offer children’s cinema at the Centro Cultural Barrio Rivadavia, which together with the Cine Móvil cycle will carry out screenings for children between 6 and 12 years old; and you can visit the Autumn Colors exhibition, from the Easel Painting Workshop at the Devoto Cultural Center.

Winter colony for people with disabilities

This program has various activities for boys and girls with disabilities, whether motor, visual, intellectual, auditory or other. There they can develop mobility and elongation exercises so that they can, through simple and healthy practices, incorporate habits that allow them to improve their quality of life. In addition, they carry out physical activities, corrective gymnastics, adapted sports and integral art, among other disciplines.

The program usually runs for seven months, from April 9 to November 26. The activities take place every Saturday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and in the winter vacation period they will be from Monday to Friday at the same time. Registration can be done online to join one of the five venues that have a winter colony for people with disabilities: Parque Sarmiento, Parque Manuel Belgrano (former KDT), Polideportivo Avellaneda, Polideportivo Patricios and Polideportivo Chacabuco. During the winter vacation period, the activities in the colonies will take place from Monday to Friday from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.7 hours. With the aim of promoting this amateur sport in one of its most practiced formats and with the support of the International Federation of Soccer 7, this competition will be played in the City of Buenos Aires.

The announcement of the programming was made this Saturday, at the Buenos Aires Museum located in the historic center of the city, by the Buenos Aires Chief of Staff, Felipe Miguel, together with the Sports Secretary, Carlos Retegui -in one of his first appearances after to reject Carlos Tévez’s offer to join Rosario Central’s technical staff-, and the general director of the Teatro Colón, Jorge Telerman.
