On the night of Wednesday, April 13, soccer player Freddy Rincón died after suffering a serious car accident which caused a severe concussion to his head.

Since then, several Internet users have relived different episodes of the player’s life, such as the goal he scored against Germany in the World Cup Italy 1990 football match.
Despite having retired from the world of sports more than 10 years ago, Rincón fervently supported the National Team. In fact, a video posted by the journalist Camilo Porraswho was Rincón’s teammate on the ESPN channel team.

The footballer was watching one of the qualifying matches of the Colombian National Team, to define his destiny in the 2022 Qatar World Cup. In the video he looks excited, clapping and jumping
“I’m getting into that television to put them on the waist”was the phrase that Porras highlighted about that moment.

The mayor of that city, Jorge Iván Ospina, decreed 3 days of mourning in that city for the soccer player’s death in a spectacular accident. He further urged the Secretary of Government, Security, Justice and Communications to accompany the family to organize their funeral.
He also announced that the Pascual Guerrero Stadium will be the stage so that his body rests in a burning chamber.
